I have also made some mobile phone cases, this is my first, not on Etsy yet but hopefully soon.
Craft fairs are coming up very soon so am crocheting every day!
I am just about to book my hols in the Lake District, so am rather excited about that. Its a beautiful part of the country and would move there immediately, though I don’t really see the opportunity arising any time soon. Well, its lovely here in Devon too so am pretty happy with that.
I have a couple of requests from friends that I shall be getting on with shortly. a crochet and button necklace and a shawl (my friends are patient people thankfully, am a bit behind). I will be holding the fort at Sew Vintage tomorrow so if its quiet can get on with hooking:) Lets hope tomorrow is sunnier than today, haven’t seen it at all!
Got a busy couple of days this weekend. The social calender is full. My lovely friend of http://thedartmoorsoapco.co.uk is trialing a bathbomb and body scrub making workshop and myself and a few ladies are the guinea pigs. Really looking forward to it as I have never made anything like these before. We even get to take our work home, so if they turn out ok I will post some pics.
I bought some gorgeous alpaca yarn a while back and am thinking summer shawls, just having difficulty in finding the right pattern. After trawling the internet for hours, I found a great pattern in one of my books!!! So much for modern technology. I also have a rough pattern in my head that I hope can be translated into a finished product. I really need to get cracking, my first craft fair is not until Easter but it soon comes around and its also starting to get busy with the gardening so no time to waste!
As you know, I help out at Sew Vintage, a lovely gift shop where you can also have any clothing alterations done by the talented Liz. She also makes wedding dresses and I am hoping to start making wedding accessories in crochet, such as necklaces, corsages and maybe even bouquets.
After a horribly wet Friday (we even cancelled work), it is turning out to be a lovely sunny day. Spring is just around the corner and it will soon be Easter. I have made some egg cosies and heres a pic, cute little hats! I haven’t got an egg cup so had to improvise!
Have a lovely weekend 🙂
Had a lovely time at the show on Saturday and managed to be fairly restrained with my purchases! As well as some very reasonably priced yarn , I also bought a felt picture kit. I’ve always wanted to have a go and now have my chance. Will show you if it looks good enough!
I have made a few more items this week. In a rush to get them posted, the pics aren’t as good as I’d like them but it will have to do, given the time I have at the mo.
I have made these and shown them before, but am quite please with these cotton pads, which are an reusable alternative to cotton wool pads. Suitable for makeup removal or cleansing/toning. These are a great seller so I better get some more made!
The next item is a basket made from recycled tshirt material, similar to the Hoooked Zpagetti (yes spelt right!). I bought 3 balls of this from a market in Barcelona at a very cheap price. If I had known how expensive it is here, I would have ditched my flamenco outfit and made some room for more in my suitcase!!!
Third and final item for today is a heart brooch made of felt and cotton fabric. I really need to crack on and get some more done for Valentines Day. Its just round the corner, best start dropping hints now!! If your other half is anything like mine, they will forget all about it!!
Well, thats all folks, its time for my tea – or dinner if you are not from the North!! x
