I will be selling my crochet at the Belstone Bazaar on Sunday, 27th November. It’s a small but well organised event in the village hall and this year there is a record number of tables booked so will definitely be worth a visit. Refreshments will also be available. Belstone is a lovely Dartmoor village in a great location for exploring the moor. Come and buy some Xmas gifts, have lunch in the pub then walk it off along the river!
Hope to see you there 🙂
Just a quickie tp let you know I will be selling my wares at Bude Castle on the 4th December. There are stalls in the castle and in a large marquee in the grounds (hopefuly heated as thats where I will be!). Bude is one of my favourite seaside towns with lovely beaches and cafes so will make a great day out. Come and say hello 🙂
I’m so sorry to tell you that my beautiful dog, Ella, passed away on Friday. She was at least 14 so it was expected, though still very hard to deal with. It happened quickly and I was with her to stroke her for the last time and hold her til she went to sleep.
We adopted her from The Dogs Trust at Ilfracombe, Devon, 11 years ago. She was picked up as a stray so no history. We chose such a fantastic companion, she never caused any problems, was so patient and full of happiness and everyone loved her.
She will be missed so much
Yes, seems October just went by without a post from me! Am wondering what I have been doing these last few weeks…
Well, I spent the first one at Ma’s house in Knutsford, Cheshire…yes, that posh place where every other building is a fancy eatery and the car showroom is McLarens (just checked how to spell it, not something I write often!). Not everything in Knutsford is posh though, me for one!
Anyway, I was staying at Mums to help her recover from a hip operation, which has gone very well and hopefully she won’t need the crutches soon. Of course I got some crochet done, managed to make Ma a Hippo, now called Hippop, get it?!
Cute 🙂 There are plenty of other animals in this style to make so let me know if you fancy one for Xmas.
The rest of October has included gardening work, bookkeeping (now done for this year yay!), holding the fort while Husband went an a camping trip and, well, thats it really. Rather uneventful. I did buy a bicycle, which for me, was pretty exciting and have already been speeding along on the moor, fantastic weather for it too 🙂
Christmas is on its way and I am waiting to hear about getting a space at the Bude Fair. I am booked in at Belstone on 29th Nov. Its a very small event but worth a look and is in a fab spot on Dartmoor for walking. I have made some tree decorations, not gotten around to photos but will show you soon. I still haven’t finished my shawl, only got a few rows left but need to have some quiet time to concentrate, which is hard to find!
So there’s October, done! x
