EXciting isn’t it?!?! I popped in yesterday to drop some of my work off, ready to display next week. Still a few things to do but we will be ready in time. Am really looking forward to meeting the other crafters and seeing their work. It is going to look fab!
Belstone is a lovely village and a great starting point for walking on the moor, or for the less energetic, walk down to the river and have a picnic. Its easy to get to from the A30, either from Whiddon Down Services or Okehampton, taking around 15 minutes.
All crafters are local, most from around Belstone itself, so please come along and show your support (and bong plenty of cash as is only method of payment for the time being!!)
See you there 🙂
Firstly, thank you to my new followers, am very pleased to have you on board.
Have just spent the morning up a ladder pruning a rather vicious climbing rose so am covered in scratches and broke a nail! Well, that’s okay as now I have the weekend free and after a day in the shop on Monday myself and husband have much of the rest of the week off ☺
….and you know what that means….crocheting til my hands hurt as it’s my first fair on Saturday 4th April. I may have mentioned it already – it’s in Lustleigh, Devon and should be a fun time for all the family as there are lots of Easter related activities on in the very pretty orchard.
On Saturday I shall be at my first sewing machine workshop. I cannot use these contraptions at all so that’ll be interesting. It is hoped we will be able to make a cushion by the end of the session. Hmm mm, we shall see!
The is also plenty of gardening to do. It has been rather neglected but as we have just finished some well needed fencing it has given my husband a new enthusiasm to get stuck in. I am happy to encourage him!
So I best get on and take a look at this sewing machine of mine and see if I can at least work out how to turn it on. If I make anything I will take a pic for you 🙂
Just completed my first crocheted wreath and am rather pleased with it so there will definitely be more made. The making list gets longer!!
I shall be selling my creations at the Belstone Bazaar next Sunday. There are plenty of stocking fillers to choose from – brooches, hairgrips, necklaces, facecloths plus a few larger items including scarves and mittens. There will be lots of other stalls too, something for everyone! Come and buy something handmade 🙂
Thank you to all the lovely customers who bought my wares at the vintage and makers market yesterday, it has done wonders for my self esteem!! Im positvely glowing 🙂
I now have to make lots more!
I may be at the flea market in South Molton in a couple of weeks so watch this space. Thing is I have a holiday comin up – off to pretty Mousehole in Cornwall – only a week but thats precious crochet time, still I can take it with me 🙂
This is a super chunky cowl with two lovely big buttons. Had to use a 12mm hook for this one! Its a great yarn to work with, fabulously bright colours. I found the yarn in Totnes, started crocheting with it in Exmouth and finished it this morning at home. A well travelled piece!
On sale for £15.00, available at the Vintage and Makers Market in South Molton this Saturday (20th). If not sold there, you will find it in my Etsy shop very soon here – Loopy Lous Crafts
The chunky wool I have just bought makes a lovely warm cowl. Excuse pic of me, never been photogenic but had to show cowl ‘in action’!
Its a lovely bright orange with a light grey trim made from 10% wool, 20% Alpaca and 70% Acrylic so soft and durable.
I will be making more in different colours and different style so keep tuned in. This one is £12.00 and will shortly be on sale in my Etsy shop LoopyLousCrafts 🙂
