Its November already!! Eek, got a lot of crocheting to do for my stall at Castle Drogo’s Christmas Market on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th November – 3 weeks away!! Details for the event here
If you haven’t been before, Castle Drogo is near the village of Drewsteignton, between Whiddon Down and Moretonhampstead, about 15 mins from A30.
There will be lots of stalls selling craft, food and drink, locally made. Well worth a visit 🙂 Theres a really good large cafe and lots of lovely walks, we often go there to walk our dog. Don’t forget the castle too!! Come along and support local makers.
If you do come, let me know you read it here and I’ll give you a little thank you gift.
Its the season to be giving afterall!
Not had a lot of free time recently, as you can tell by my absence! Work has been full on, which is great. Am also seeing my personal trainer twice a week and am weirdly enjoying it.
Never been one for exercise (which is why I need a trainer, to keep me going!!), so suprised myself when I realised its sort of fun. It does help that Jamie is brilliant – patient and calm with (thankfully) a sense of humour! I would highly recommend having a go. He works at a gym which is part of a physiotherapy centre. If you are in Devon and in the Tavistock area heres where I go – Tavistock Physio Clinic
I have had some time to get on with crochet. After booking a space at the National Trust Castle Drogo Xmas fair in November, I thought I’d better crack on with some stock. I made some fingerless gloves last year and they sold well so am making more!
I have also made a lovely chunky cowl using pure wool with a big button fastening…
Both available in my Etsy Shop
It is laste Sunday afternoon and having been out in the pouring rain with the dog, I think its time to relax….with a hook and some yarn 😉
I will be selling my crochet at the Belstone Bazaar on Sunday, 27th November. It’s a small but well organised event in the village hall and this year there is a record number of tables booked so will definitely be worth a visit. Refreshments will also be available. Belstone is a lovely Dartmoor village in a great location for exploring the moor. Come and buy some Xmas gifts, have lunch in the pub then walk it off along the river!
Hope to see you there 🙂
Just a quickie tp let you know I will be selling my wares at Bude Castle on the 4th December. There are stalls in the castle and in a large marquee in the grounds (hopefuly heated as thats where I will be!). Bude is one of my favourite seaside towns with lovely beaches and cafes so will make a great day out. Come and say hello 🙂
I have three more days of frantic crocheting before the Chistmas Food and Craft Fair at Castle Drogo, Drewsteignton, Devon. I haven’t been to this fair before, so not sure what to expect, just hoping for lots of customers!
I think I will have enough stock – animals, blankets, brooches, gloves, scarves…..I have also made up some gift sets in jars which include a facecloth, cotton pads and soap from my lovely friend at The Dartmoor Soap Co.
Also managed to get another two crocheted pals finished. Anyone need a cuddle?
The weather is supposed to be turning colder so am hoping to sell lots of cosy gloves and scarves 🙂
If you are coming along how about popping over to Chagford where the annual Wonderworks Contemporary Craft Fair will be, on both Saturday and Sunday?
Don’t forget, if you see anything on my blog or fb page, just get in touch, can ship anywhere 🙂
Just to let you know, my one and only Xmas fair is at the National Trusts Castle Drogo, Drewsteignton, Devon on Saturday 21st November. Its a craft and food fair so something for everyone. The castle stands in beautiful grounds with some fab walks, heres some info about Castle Drogo
